Srinagar: Kashmir Solidarity Day symbolises the spirit of People of Kashmir with which they stand with and by each other and the oneness of the Republic of India. India is a country of multiple cultures, religions, dialects, customs and traditions. Yet, there is unity in diversity. The Spirit of One India reverberates in equal proportions in the heart of every Kashmiri. The Kashmiriyat upholds the very spirit of oneness or solidarity which is worth emulating by all civilizations across the globe.
To commemorate the same and display the spirit of solidarity, NCC Boys of Government Boys High School, Trehgam, proudly donned their smart NCC uniforms and marched through the Trehgam market. The people of Trehgam displayed their spirit by cheering the marching contingent and clapping for them. The faces of Boys gleamed with smiles and chests swelled with pride while marching.
A painting competition with the theme on national symbols was also organised for them by the Indian Army. Another Painting Competition was held at Government High School, Batpora, Jugtiyal in which 32 children participated with the theme being Jannat-e-Kashmir. At both the places the children showed great enthusiasm, eagerness as well as talent while participating in the competition. The winners were identified and suitably rewarded for their exceptional talent. Everyone was served refreshments at the end of the program
