Mumbai: A chilling new video has emerged from inside Birch by Romeo Lane in Arpora, Goa, capturing the final moments before a massive fire tore through the nightclub, killing 23 people and injuring several others. The footage provides the clearest look yet at how quickly the blaze consumed the venue packed with weekend crowds.

The 20-second clip shows a belly dancer entertaining guests on a small stage, with music thumping and the crowd gathered around. Just moments into the performance, a sudden burst of bright flames shoots down from the ceiling directly above her. Within one to two seconds, the fire races across the entire overhead structure, turning the atmosphere from festive to frantic chaos.

Startled staff and guests immediately sprint out of the camera frame as dense smoke fills the hall. Shockingly, no fire alarms, sprinklers, or emergency systems appear to activate in the video’s final seconds, raising serious questions about the club’s safety compliance.

Authorities said the inferno was triggered by a cylinder explosion, though investigations are continuing. Goa DGP confirmed that the control room received an SOS call at 12:04 am, after which fire and rescue teams rushed to the scene. The flames were eventually brought under control, and all 23 bodies were recovered from the debris.
