The State Election Commission has confirmed that voting will take place on January 15, 2026, from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Alongside Mumbai, elections will be conducted in 20 other municipal corporations across Maharashtra, making this one of the largest civic polls in the state’s history.
Counting and Results
Vote counting is scheduled for January 16, 2026, starting at 10 am, with results expected the same day. Over 1.03 crore citizens are eligible to vote, including 55.1 lakh men, 48.2 lakh women, and 1,099 voters categorized as Other.

Election officials are conducting extensive training sessions for polling staff and ensuring readiness of electronic voting machines (EVMs) across the city. Polling stations are being equipped with essential facilities such as drinking water, electricity, ramps for differently-abled voters, and priority arrangements for senior citizens, pregnant women, and lone parents.
