Jodhpur: Tragedy struck on Tuesday when an AC sleeper bus traveling from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur caught fire around 3:30 pm, leaving 21 people dead and four critically injured, who are currently on ventilators. Earlier today, 10-year-old Yunus, who suffered severe burns, succumbed to his injuries, raising the death toll further.

Authorities have initiated the identification process for the deceased, collecting DNA samples from relatives at hospitals in Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. Families of the victims expressed concern over delays, but hospital officials explained that careful verification is necessary to prevent any mismatch. The process is expected to conclude within 24 hours.
