Srinagar: The Youth Services & Sports department of union territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday organised a volleyball match under “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” campaign at higher secondary school Khanoo Babagund where Showket H Pandith, chairman, Block Development Council (BDC), Langate was the chief guest of the occasion.
The match was quite thrilling between Halqa Panchayat Khanoo Babagund & Halqa Panchayat Yaroo. The Yaroo team emerged as victorious. Jatinder Singh, district Youth Services & Sports officer, Kupwara was the guest of honour.
The chairman BDC, Langate highlighted the importance of games & sports and urged the youth to stay away from drugs. The chairman also stated that the competition brings the best out of the person.
