Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, criticizing the party’s stance and actions. Referring to a Congress Member of Parliament, Yogi remarked, “While one Congress MP is roaming around with a Palestine bag, the Congress leadership remains disconnected from national priorities.” This comment came as a part of his broader criticism of the Congress party’s focus, which he argued was out of touch with the country’s pressing issues.

The remarks were made on the second day of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly’s winter session, where the Yogi Adityanath government presented the supplementary budget for 2024-25. State Finance Minister Suresh Khanna tabled a proposal for an additional expenditure of Rs 790 crore, outlining the state’s financial priorities for the upcoming year.

While speaking in the Assembly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised Uttar Pradesh’s growing reputation as an investment hub. He attributed the state’s success in attracting investors to his government’s “zero-tolerance” policy toward crime, which he claimed had resulted in a riot-free environment, thereby boosting investor confidence.

Yogi also urged opposition parties to engage in constructive debates on issues that directly impact the public, emphasizing the importance of upholding the dignity of the Assembly. He further highlighted key achievements of the state government, including the reopening of closed sugar mills and the swift processing of payments to sugarcane farmers within a week.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s remarks against Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and the Congress party reflect the ongoing political tensions in the state, where the ruling BJP continues to target the opposition over issues of national and regional importance.
