Varun Dhawan’s much-awaited romantic entertainer Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai has undergone yet another release date revision, with the makers finally deciding to bring the film to theatres on June 5, 2026.
This marks the fourth release date adjustment for the film since its announcement. The romantic comedy, featuring Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde, had witnessed multiple scheduling changes due to shifting box office competition.
The latest update was announced after the postponement of Yash’s Toxic, which opened a favourable release window in early June.
Box Office Strategy Behind Repeated Changes
The film was originally planned for a June 5 release before being shifted to June 12. Later, the makers moved it to May 22 to avoid clashing with Toxic.
However, the May release would have put the film in direct competition with Chaand Mera Dil, starring Ananya Panday and Lakshya, prompting another rethink.
With Toxic no longer arriving in the same week, the production team has now returned to the original June 5 slot, hoping to maximise box office potential in a less crowded release period.

Along with the announcement, the actor expressed appreciation for the revised release calendar and highlighted that the movie would be among the first major theatrical releases after the IPL season ends.
