Five Persons died in a train accident in Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh Thursday morning.
The accident took place around 5 this morning when Lucknow bound Chandigarh Express collided with a truck at a crossing in Shahjahanpur district.
Five persons died on spot while one injured was admitted to the hospital and is reported to be out of danger.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to provide ex gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each to the next kin of the deceased.
Up track has been cleared by railway and teams are working on to clear the down track also.
All the passengers of Chandigarh express have been sent to the destinations by railways.
