Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday highlighted the government’s push to empower local youth and boost industrial development in the state. Speaking at the foundation stone-laying ceremony of a major Central Treatment Plant (CTP) project in GIDA, the CM emphasized that young people in the state no longer need to hide their identity due to past perceptions of riots, hooliganism, and lawlessness.

“Earlier, the youth of UP were forced to hide their identity because people used to say there were riots, hooliganism, and looting. However, the people of Uttar Pradesh no longer need to do this, as they are also now offered the opportunity to work in their own district. The investment being made in GIDA ensures this,” Yogi said.

The CM added that the Rs. 281-crore project, which includes essential infrastructure such as roads, drainage systems, and streetlights, will also address environmental concerns. “Now the industrial waste won’t be the reason for pollution. For the last 35 years, this work has been ongoing in GIDA, but the laying of the foundation stone for the CTP was done today. The ‘Bhumipujan’ ceremony for the project, worth Rs. 281 crores, was also completed today,” he said.
