Raj Thackeray formally declared that the two parties would fight the BMC polls together, calling it a decisive step taken in the interest of Mumbai and Marathi voters. While confirming the alliance, both leaders refrained from revealing the seat-sharing formula, stating that details would be disclosed later. Raj Thackeray said caution was necessary, hinting at political poaching and instability in Maharashtra’s current climate.

Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant described the moment as historic, stating that Marathi voters had long hoped to see the Thackerays reunited. He added that the alliance stands firmly for the rights of “sons of the soil” without dividing society on caste or religious lines.
