In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, three terrorists were killed in an encounter between terrorists and security forces at Vailoo village in Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district this morning.
According to police, the encounter broke out after a joint team of security forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) based on a specific input about the presence of terrorists in the village.
As the joint team approached the suspected spot, the terrorists fired upon them. The security forces retaliated resulting in the killing of three terrorists. The identity of the slain terrorists is being ascertained.
