New Delhi: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi strongly condemned an AI-generated video posted on X by the official handle of the BJP Assam unit on September 15.
Reacting on September 17, Owaisi wrote, “BJP Assam has posted a disgusting AI video that shows a Muslim-majority Assam if there was no BJP… Their dream is a Muslim-mukt Bharat.” He added that the video exposes the “repulsive Hindutva ideology” and reflects the party’s view that the very existence of Muslims in India is seen as a problem.
The video included phrases like “Pakistan link party” and “illegal migrants,” echoing past rhetoric used to stir communal tensions. Netizens accused the BJP of spreading division and misinformation, recalling controversies involving Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The caption of the post read: “We can’t let this dream of Paaijaan to be true!!”
Congress social media chief Supriya Srinate also reacted, questioning the Election Commission: “Election Commission @ECISVEEP, do you have no objection to posts like this? BJP is spreading poison in this manner – Mr. Gyanesh, will you, as always, remain a silent spectator and justify this?”
