Mumbai: What is FTI-TTP?

FTI-TTP (Foreign Tourist Immigration – Tourist Travel Passport) is an online process designed to streamline the immigration procedure for Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) while traveling abroad. It aims to fast-track immigration at major international airports in India by enabling smoother biometric submissions and e-gate access for eligible travelers.

How to Apply for FTI-TTP:

  1. Sign Up: Visit the FTI-TTP registration website, sign up using your email and phone number. OTP verification will be required.
  2. Start a New Application: Log in to your account and click on the ‘Apply Online’ button.
  3. Choose Your Passport Type: Select whether you are applying with an Indian passport or an international passport with an OCI card.
  4. Fill in the Application Details: Provide personal and contact details, residential address, and other necessary information.
  5. Upload Documents: Upload the following documents:
    • A passport-sized photograph.
    • Scanned copies of the first and last pages of your passport.
    • OCI card (for OCI applicants).
    • Proof of address (in PDF format).
    • Note: Resize images if needed.
  6. Sign the Declaration: Agree to the terms and conditions by signing the declaration.
  7. Schedule Biometrics: Set an appointment for biometric submission either at a designated international airport or the nearest Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO).
  8. Get Your Application Number: After submission, you will receive an application number via SMS and email. Your details will be verified.
  9. Provide Biometrics: Submit your biometrics (fingerprints and photograph) at passport control counters before departing India or at the nearest FRRO office. Bring your application number for reference.
  10. Confirmation: After completing the biometric submission, you’ll receive confirmation. You can now use the e-gates for fast-track immigration at major airports in India.
