The Hague, Netherlands: As part of the ongoing celebration of ‘India @ 75’, the Embassy of India in the Netherlands celebrated Ambedkar’s birth anniversary at the Gandhi Center in the Netherlands. Conducted a screening of a documentary on the life of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.
The event was graced by Her Excellency the Ambassador of India to the Netherlands Mrs Reenat Sandhu and the Director of the Gandhi Center Shri. Shiv Mohan Singh was present. The event was also attended by the Indian Diaspora in the Netherlands.
In her speech, Mrs Sandhu emphasized the role of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar as the creator of modern India and his contribution to the social upliftment of the society.
On this occasion, Journalist and Writer Adv Pranita Deshpande handed over a copy of the book “Indian Constitution” written by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar to Mrs Reenat Sandhu, Ambassador of India to the Netherlands.
A documentary on Babasaheb Ambedkar was also shown and the program was concluded.
