Patna: A day ahead of the second phase of polling, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Mahagathbandhan’s chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav on Monday outlined his vision for a developed Bihar and took a swipe at the Election Commission (EC) for not releasing gender-wise voter data from the first phase of elections.

Addressing a press conference, Yadav said, “After November 14, Bihar will be made the number one state in the country where there will be proper arrangements for food processing units, industries, education, healthcare, employment, and irrigation, along with super-specialty hospitals, Educational City, and IT hubs. No Bihari will need to go to another city.”

The RJD leader emphasized that his government would focus on creating local employment opportunities and strengthening infrastructure to prevent migration from Bihar.

He also raised concerns about the Election Commission’s delay in publishing gender-wise voting data, stating, “It’s been almost three days since the first phase of the elections. Yet, even after three days, the Election Commission has not disclosed the female and male voter turnout.”
