Tamil Nadu Govt says arrear exams for colleges to be conducted in May

@the_news_21

The Tamil Nadu Government has said that arrear exams for college students will be conducted in May. This was stated at the Madras High Court by the advocate general Vijay Narayan. The Government had cancelled the arrear exams last August and ordered that those who had paid the fees for the arrear exams will be considered as pass. But after an appeal came up for hearing the first bench comprising of Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee and Justice Senthil kumar Ramamoorthy ordered that the exact number of such students be submitted to the Court.

On hearing the statement by the UGC that there was no order stating that the exams should be cancelled, the first bench then agreed to the argument and ordered the Government to conduct the exams within eight weeks.
