The Supreme Court on Thursday upholding the Tamil Nadu law allowed the bull-taming sport Jallikattu in the state. The top court noted that the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Tamil Nadu Amendment) Act, 2017 substantially minimises pain and suffering to animals.The five-judge bench of the Supreme Court noted that Jallikattu is part of culture and it [culture] cannot be put under inquiry, stated TV reports.
