100X.VC, India’s first and only venture capital fund to invest in 100 startups in a year using iSAFE notes, will reveal its funded startups from its Class 01 of 2019 at the VC Pitch Day on 7th December, 2019 at IIT Powai, Mumbai. 100X.VC works with seed stage startups across India, and invites private audience to view the live pitches of its promising portfolio companies. 100X.VC is backing India’s most talented entrepreneurs, helping them create successful companies at scale to build value for VCs. 100X.VC was founded by Sanjay Mehta, a veteran startup investor, and the investments are sponsored by his family office Mehta Ventures. 100X.VC platform helps founders to get in front of a pool of marquee investors who they can’t get access to otherwise.
100X.VC uses i-SAFE notes as an investment instrument. This India Simple Agreement for Future Equity will help VCs evaluate companies for the next round easily, as there is neither a benchmarked valuation nor typical SHA type rights in iSAFE. This is an invite only event for General Partners at VC firms, Corporate Venture Capital, Family Offices, Government Partners and Accredited Private Investors.
Ninad Karpe, Partner at 100X.VC said “We are excited to showcase these brilliant minds, building companies having potential of non linear growth. I believe every invited investor will get more than one funding option which matches their investment thesis.”
At the VC Pitch Day, each team will get 5 minutes to tell their story in front of 150+ investors about who they are, what they’re building, and why they might be the best team to build it. Post launch, 100X.VC received 1,200+ startups pitches, which were reviewed by the team in order to select the shortlisted startups. They saw startups from fintech, to QSR, to consumer brands, to healthcare commerce, to AI-driven B2B tech platforms. 100X.VC has disrupted the seed stage investment ecosystem by announcing 100 investments every year. The mission of 100X.VC is to become the feeder for VCs by helping them discover the next potential moonshots. It’s an opportunity for the invited VCs to get a first look at the deals and interact with founders.
