Sonia Gandhi with party leaders meet President Kovind, demands for removal of HM Amit Shah

Around 34 people have lost their lives in Delhi violence in last three days, however, now Congress delegation has met President Ramnath Kovind to discuss the ongoing situation in the capital.  Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi submitted a memorandum to President, calling upon him to ensure that life, liberty and property of citizens preserved. She also called for the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his “inability to contain violence” in the national capital.

Even former Pime Minister Manmohan Singh was present with other senior party leaders. “We called upon President to suggest to him that what has happened in last 4 days in Delhi is a matter of great concern & a matter of national shame in which at least 34 people have died & 200 people are injured, it is a reflection on total failure of Central Govt.”  Dr Manmohan Singh said.-Inputs from India.com
