Mumbai: On a day when the country scripted history of achieving the one billion vaccinations milestone mark, senior BJP leader MLA Adv. Ashish Shelar felicitated 225 medical professionals including doctors and nurses from his Bandra West assembly constituency on Thursday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked all the health care workers and medical professionals who participated in the vaccination drive for helping the country achieve the feat. Taking the cue from the Prime Minister’s gesture, Adv. Ashish Shelar too honoured 225 people from his Bandra West constituency by giving books, bouquets and certificates of gratitude.
People working in the 10 vaccination centres and one war room of the Bandra West Assembly constituency were felicitated. These included people from Mahila Sangh Hall, Santacruz, Surya Hospital, Ramkrishna Mission Hospital, G. A Kulkarni High School, Harmony vaccination centre, Bandra Bhabha Hospital, Old BMC Hospital in Bandra, Holy Family Hospital, Rang Sharda vaccination centre and Lilavati Hospital. MLA Adv. Ashish Shelar personally met and felicitated them. Local corporators Alka Kerkar, Swapna Mhatre, Hetal Gala and BJP Assembly president Kishore Punwat were present on the occasion.
