Salman Khan Films Clarifies Position
Speculation surrounding Bollywood star Salman Khan’s upcoming film Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace has been firmly rejected by Salman Khan Films. The production house has stated that reports claiming the film is facing difficulties with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) are completely inaccurate.
In an official statement shared through its verified social media accounts, the banner clarified that the film has not yet been submitted to the CBFC for certification. As a result, any reports suggesting objections, delays or certification issues have no factual basis.
Production House Urges Media To Verify Information
Salman Khan Films also appealed to media organisations and social media users to avoid spreading unverified claims. The production company said any updates regarding the film’s certification or release would be announced only through its official communication channels.
The clarification comes after several reports suggested that the film had encountered hurdles during the certification process. The production house has now made it clear that the certification procedure has not even begun.
Film Based On Colonel Santosh Babu
Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace features Salman Khan portraying Colonel Santosh Babu, the commanding officer of the 16 Bihar Regiment, who led Indian troops during the Galwan Valley conflict. Actress Chitrangada Singh stars opposite him, while Abhilash Chaudhary and Ankur Bhatia play significant roles in the film.
The movie’s music has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya. Its teaser was unveiled on December 27, 2025, coinciding with Salman Khan’s 60th birthday.
Fans Await Official Release Updates
With the clarification now issued, the production house has urged audiences to rely only on verified announcements for information about the film’s certification and release schedule, putting an end to the recent wave of speculation.
