Ram Navami is being celebrated with religious fervor and enthusiasm in different parts of country today. The festival marks the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have greeted people on the occasion.

The President and the Vice President have greeted the nation on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami. They have extended their heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all the citizens.

President Ram Nath Kovind has said that birthday of Lord Shri Ram is celebrated as Ram Navami with great fervour. He said, as we strive for justice and human dignity, we find the ideals of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram of great support. He said, Lord Shri Ram taught us how to live a virtuous life and his entire life and his teachings of righteousness, truthfulness and moderation keep inspiring us.

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has said, Lord Rama was the personification of virtue, righteousness, courage and compassion. He said, Ram Navami celebrations remind us of the ideal life led by Maryada Purushottam Lord Rama and guide us towards the path of righteousness. He said, it must remind each of us of our duties and responsibilities towards our family, society and country. He said, Lord Rama’s resolute commitment to justice, good governance and welfare of his people will continue to inspire humanity forever.

In view of the present situation of Covid-19 in the country, the Vice President urged the fellow citizens to celebrate this festival at home and by adhering to COVID health and hygiene protocols.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted the citizens on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami. In a series of tweets, Mr Modi said, today is Ram Navami and Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram’s message to all of us is to follow dignities. He urged the people to follow the Covid protocols to curb the spread of corona virus. He said, in this crisis situation of Corona, remember the mantra of ‘Daiwa Bhi, Kadai Bhi’.
