Rahul Gandhi Expresses Grief Over Himachal Rain Tragedy, Urges Congress Workers to Aid Relief Efforts

New Delhi: Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and widespread damage caused by heavy rainfall and landslides in various parts of Himachal Pradesh. In a post shared on social media, Gandhi extended condolences to the bereaved families and called for the safe recovery of those still missing.

Terming the situation “extremely tragic and concerning,” Gandhi highlighted the urgency of relief operations and acknowledged the efforts being undertaken by the state government and local administration to provide assistance to the affected population.

As rescue and relief teams continue their operations in the rain-hit regions, Gandhi also appealed to Congress party workers in Himachal Pradesh to actively support the administration in its efforts. He urged them to step forward and contribute in any way possible to ensure timely aid reaches those in need.

Torrential rains have triggered landslides and flash floods across the hill state, leaving several dead, many missing, and large swathes of infrastructure damaged. Authorities have been mobilizing resources for evacuation, shelter, and medical aid as they battle difficult terrain and weather conditions.
