Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Bihar on the occasion of Bihar Day, praising the state’s rich cultural heritage and expressing confidence in its role in building a developed India.
Taking to X, PM Modi said, “On the occasion of Bihar Day, heartfelt greetings to all my family members in the state. Our province, which imparts grandeur and divinity to India’s heritage, is today engaged in crafting ever-new chapters of progress.”
He added that the hardworking and energetic people of Bihar would play a key role in achieving the vision of a developed Bihar alongside a developed India.
Leaders Highlight Bihar’s Cultural Pride
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha also extended his wishes, calling the occasion a reminder of Bihar’s glorious past and contributions to knowledge, civilization, and democracy.

“Bihar’s history has been glorious, and at present, we are shaping a glorious future through our determination. Together, we will take Bihar’s pride to new heights,” the Chief Minister said in his message.
Significance Of Bihar Day
Bihar Day is observed every year on March 22 to mark the formation of Bihar as a separate state in 1912, when it was carved out from Bengal during British rule. The day is celebrated across the state as a public holiday, honouring Bihar’s legacy and its journey of growth.
With leaders across party lines extending greetings, Bihar Day once again highlighted the state’s historical importance and its aspirations for rapid development in the years ahead.
