Mumbai: Congress MP from Wayanad, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, on Saturday said the outcome of the Kerala local body elections signals a strong public desire for a responsive and compassionate government that genuinely understands people’s everyday challenges.

In a message shared on social media, the Lok Sabha MP described the election verdict as more than just a political success, calling it a reflection of the aspirations of the people of Kerala. She said the results indicate a growing expectation for governance rooted in empathy, honesty and active listening.

Priyanka Gandhi highlighted the Congress party’s approach of standing firmly with citizens, paying close attention to their concerns and working consistently towards people-first policies. She said this commitment resonated clearly with voters and was reflected in the mandate received by the United Democratic Front (UDF).

Expressing gratitude to the electorate, she thanked the people of Kerala for reposing their trust in the UDF, noting that the mandate has infused the alliance with fresh confidence ahead of the next Assembly elections.
