“PM Modi Has Allocated Rs 80,000 Crore for Tribal Welfare”: Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis Hits Out at ‘Divisive Elements’

Nagpur: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reaffirmed the central government’s commitment to tribal welfare, announcing a massive investment of ₹80,000 crore dedicated to uplifting tribal communities across the country. He also strongly criticized those he accused of attempting to divide tribal society for political gains.

Speaking at a public function focused on tribal development, Fadnavis said, “For the development of the tribal community, Prime Minister Modi has allocated Rs 80,000 crore to transform their lives. A strong effort is to ensure that 100% of the tribal population benefits from this. Over the next five years, every tribal citizen will be provided with all basic amenities: electricity, clean water, roads, education, nutritious food, healthcare, and more.”

Highlighting the comprehensive nature of the government’s vision, he stressed that this initiative is not limited to infrastructure but encompasses the overall quality of life and social inclusion of tribal communities.

However, Fadnavis also used the platform to slam what he called “divisive forces” attempting to create rifts within society. “Unfortunately, some people continue to spread lies and attempt to divide this society. They constantly try to isolate the tribal community from the rest. But heroes like Khajya Naik and Birsa Munda did not struggle just for the tribals—they fought for the entire nation, uniting people from all communities. This is why such divisive elements must be firmly answered, and everyone should strive to live in unity,” he added.
