Pahalgam Killings: Observe 2-Minute Silence as Mark of Respect and Solidarity, Omar Abdullah Urges Govt Employees

J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced ₹10 lakh compensation for the families of two labourers killed in the Kulgam terror attack.

Srinagar: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has urged government employees to observe a two-minute silence as a mark of respect and solidarity following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

Taking to microblogging platform X, Omar Abdullah, via his official handle, wrote: “In light of the tragic killing of innocent civilians by terrorists in Pahalgam, all government office employees across Jammu and Kashmir are requested to observe a two-minute silence at 3:30 PM today as a mark of respect and solidarity.”

Pertinently, a complete shutdown is being observed across Jammu and Kashmir, following a bandh call given by various groups in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
