India has administered over 83 crore 39 lakh doses of COVID vaccine so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Union Health Ministry said, more than 71 lakh 38 thousand vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. The Ministry said, 31 thousand 990 COVID patients recovered during the last 24 hours and the national recovery rate has reached 97.77 per cent. Till now, more than three crore 28 lakh people have recovered from COVID-19.
The country reported 31 thousand 923 new cases in last 24 hours. Currently, India’s active caseload is at around three lakh one thousand. The active cases constitute less than one per cent of the total reported cases. However, the daily positivity rate stands at 2.09 per cent.
The Ministry said, the testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded and more than 55 crore 83 lakh COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far.
