Over 140 crore 31 lakh doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Union Health Ministry said, more than 57 lakh 44 thousand vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. The Ministry said, seven thousand 51 COVID patients recovered during the last 24 hours and the national recovery rate stands at 98.40 percent. Till now, more than three crore 42 lakh 15 thousand people have recovered from COVID-19.
The country reported six thousand 650 new Covid cases in last 24 hours. Currently, India’s active caseload is around 77 thousand. Presently the active cases constitute 0.22 per cent of the country’s total positive cases, which is lowest since March last year.
The Ministry said, the testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded and more than 66 crore 98 lakh COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far.
