Only ‘phooljhadi’, ‘anar’ allowed on Diwali night, no hard crackers: BMC issues circular regarding firecrackers

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has released a circular regarding bursting of crackers in Mumbai. As per the circular issued by BMC it states that only soft crackers like ‘phooljhadi’, ‘anar’ are permissible in private society on November 14 from 8 pm to 10 pm.

Even The National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Monday imposed a total ban on sale or use of all kinds of firecrackers in the National Capital Region (NCR) from the midnight of November 9 to the midnight of November 30.

Many states have banned use of fire crackers as it creates pollution which could lead in increase of coronavirus patients.
