The number of active cases in Maharashtra has come down to 58,069 yesterday and the recovery rate stands at 96.93 percent. But the number of daily cases are still in four digits. In the backdrop of this situation, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has said that the second wave of Covid-19 in the state is under control but it has not yet ended. The second wave was brought under controll due to relentless efforts of our doctors, medical staff and frontline workers as well as the cautious approach by the citizens of the state. He has appealed the citizens to continue their co- operation in future to avoid the third wave.
News agency, reports that Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has reminded the people of the state that the restrictions have been relaxed upto a certain extent to protect the economy of the state and the people should not violate the rules by organising social, religious and other type of events in the current situation. He said that this type of approach can invite the risk of reviving the well controlled second wave. He also expressed concern over the behaviour of some people in the state. He said that this should not happen in the upcoming festive season and people should neither fall prey to the instigation or should not get lured by some sections in the state. He said that the people should understand their responsibility and co-operate the government by following Covid appropriate behaviour of wearing masks and avoid crowding anywhere in the state.
