Nissan ramps up momentum ahead of new launches; October sales up 45%

Gurugram: Nissan Motor India reported strong festive-season performance with 45% month-on-month domestic sales growth in October 2025, backed by demand for the New Nissan Magnite and the impact of the GST rate reduction.

The company sold 2,402 units in the domestic market and exported 7,273 units, taking its consolidated sales to 9,675 units for the month. Nissan also achieved a major milestone recently by crossing 1.2 million cumulative exports from India — led by the Magnite — reaffirming its “Make in India, Make for the World” strategy.

Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said the festive period, coupled with GST rationalisation, significantly boosted customer sentiment.

“October has been a strong month for the industry and for Nissan. The Nissan Magnite — our GNCAP 5-star rated SUV — continues to see robust customer demand. Our 10-year extended warranty, GST benefits and special editions have driven further excitement,” Vatsa said.

He added that Nissan has expanded its CNG retrofitment program to include the Magnite BR10 EZ-Shift (AMT), offering more flexibility to customers.

Nissan said it has been focusing on reducing dealer inventory ahead of the festive period to strengthen retail performance. The automaker’s network is gearing up for three new product launches, including the highly anticipated Nissan Tekton (7-seater B-MPV) and a new 7-seater C-SUV.

Dealer partners, the company said, are optimistic and preparing for higher customer footfall.

Following the GST rate cut, Nissan reduced prices on the New Magnite by up to ₹1 lakh. The Magnite KURO Special Edition and the new Metallic Grey colour have also seen a strong response nationwide.

The Made-in-India Magnite is now exported to 65+ countries, reinforcing Nissan’s “One Car, One World” philosophy and the company’s growing role as a global export hub.
