The National Investigation Agency on Monday revealed that it suspects that the gun given to the Gogoi gang by Lawrence Bishnoi could have been used in the killing of gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf.
Atiq Ahmed and his brother were shot dead while they were being taken to a hospital in Prayagraj on April 15 night amid police presence.
Bishnoi confessed that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and Sidhu Moosewala’s manager are among top 10 targets that he planned to eliminate, NIA added.
Lawrence Bishnoi said in 1998 Salman Khan hunted black buck which the Bishnoi community is considered sacred. The Bishnoi sought to avenge the hurt sentiments of the community by planning to killing the actor. Bishnoi confessed to the NIA in December last year that acting on his directions his aide Sampat Nehra had conducted a recce of Salman Khan’s Mumbai residence. Nehra was, however, nabbed by the Special Task Force of the Harayana Police.
