The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken a significant step forward in the investigation of the Bengaluru cafe blast case by releasing the photo of a man suspected of carrying out the explosion. Alongside this, the agency announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for any information or clues leading to the apprehension of the suspect.

The blast occurred at the Rameshwaram Cafe in the Whitefield area of Bengaluru on March 1, sending shockwaves through the city. Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara revealed that the NIA, in collaboration with the Special Wing of the Central Crime Branch of Bengaluru Police, is diligently probing the case. Rameshwaram Cafe, situated in the Brookfield locality, is frequented by employees of various IT companies in the area.

Despite efforts to collect CCTV footage capturing the movements of the suspect, authorities have yet to track him down. Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar expressed confidence in the swift apprehension of the perpetrator shortly after the incident, but the search continues.

Sources familiar with the investigation revealed that the suspect deliberately boarded and alighted from around 10 Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) buses to create confusion and evade detection by authorities. This tactic aimed to obfuscate the trail and hinder the progress of investigative agencies.

In response, officials have intensified efforts to review CCTV footage from within a 3-kilometer radius of the blast site, hoping to identify and locate the suspect. The release of the suspect’s photo and the substantial reward offer underscore the urgency and gravity of the ongoing investigation.

As Bengaluru grapples with the aftermath of the cafe blast, residents and authorities remain vigilant, rallying together to ensure the swift apprehension of those responsible and uphold the safety and security of the city.
