Days after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) released two CCTV clips of a suspect linked to the Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe blast case, a significant development has emerged with the detention of an individual who allegedly had interactions with the suspect in Ballari.
The suspect, last seen at the Ballari bus stand on March 1, nearly eight hours after the blast occurred, has been a focal point of investigations. On March 6, just five days after the blast, the NIA apprehended four individuals associated with a Ballari-based “ISIS module,” as per records accessible in the public domain.
The individual detained by the central investigative agency has been identified as Syed Shabbir.
Piecing together the trail of the cafe blast suspect, investigators have relied on CCTV footage tracking his movements. The footage revealed his journey via two intra-state government buses to reach Ballari before proceeding to an undisclosed destination, as per sources within the police speaking to Indian Express.
The ongoing investigation into the Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe blast underscores the meticulous efforts of law enforcement agencies in piecing together crucial evidence and apprehending individuals connected to the incident.
