Negative RT-PCR report mandatory to enter in Maharashtra

Maharashtra Government has said that any person entering the state by any mode of transport will have to carry a negative RT-PCR report. The State Government issued an order under the Epidemic Act and has clarified that the RT-PCR test report should not be older than 48 hours before entering the state. Same conditions will be applicable to Cargo carriers and only drivers and cleaners will be allowed to enter in the state. Their RT-PCR report will be valid for seven days. State has also extended certain strict restrictions imposed in the state upto 7 A.M. on 1st of June.

Local Disaster Management Authorities have been asked to keep a special vigil on rural markets and APMCs to ensure COVID Appropriate Behavior. They may shut these markets or may impose further restrictions on case to case basis. In an order, the Chief Secretary has also asked Local Disaster Management Authorities to give at least 48 hours time to the general public before imposing stricter restrictions.
