Srinagar: The programme ‘Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir’ campaign, was launched by the Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in Jammu on September 1. The programme is a part of a national campaign launched by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment across the country to ensure reduction in drug demand and drug abuse.
Mubassir Latifi Ameer, SSP Commandant, IRP 15th battalion was the chief guest on the occasion, while Nissar Ahmed Butt, state director NYKS under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Government of India, Thakur Abhijeet Jasrotia, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson and head of policy and research, Dr Vinay Thusoo, media head and spokesperson, Jammu University and SDPO RS Pura, Surinder Singh were the guests of honour.
Thakur Abhijeet Jasrotia, spokesperson, incharge and research was the main resource person who sensitized the civil society and target group about the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan.
Former deputy commissioner State Taxes, Vijay Kumar Sharma, Station House Officer (SHO) Bishnah, Inspector Vikram Sharma, Director SIRAS School Bishnah Yogesh Jandial were also the special guests on the occasion. Shivam Jandial conducted the proceedings.
Students from SIRAS Bishnah participated in this event. Chief Guest Mubassir Latifi Ameer SSP, resource person Thakur Abhijeet Jasrotia, spokesperson and incharge policy and research, guests of honour, Nissar Ahmed Butt, state director NYKS, Dr Vinay Thusoo spokesperson Jammu University and SDPO R.S Pura Surinder Singh guided and informed the students about the consequences of drugs.
Sushil Singh Charak, chief functionary of the Nations Development Association (NDA) said that these kinds of events will help the students and youth to understand the consequences of drug addiction. Shivam Jandial, Chetan Verma, Vishal Sandhu and Madhu also present on the occasion.
