Mumbai: In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Maharashtra government transferred six key departmental secretaries on Thursday, including high-profile officials Milind Mhaiskar and B Venugopal Reddy. Among the major changes, Harshdeep Kamble, previously appointed as the General Manager of Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST), has now been moved to serve as the Principal Secretary of the Social Justice Department. This shift leaves the crucial civic undertaking, BEST, without a leader after the transfer of former GM Anil Diggikar.
Other notable changes include the reassignment of Milind Mhaiskar, the Additional Chief Secretary of Public Health, to the Forest Department. B Venugopal Reddy, currently in the Forest Department, will take over Mhaiskar’s role in the Higher and Technical Education Department. Vikas Chandra Rastogi, previously heading the Higher and Technical Education Department, will now serve as Principal Secretary of Agriculture.
