Maharashtra is seeing a surge in Covid cases and this has created a havoc in the state. So now Mumbai Commissioner on Saturday issued a fresh set of guidelines for those travelling by their cars on the roads.
As per the order, only vehicles with colour-coded stickers will be allowed to travel on the roads from tomorrow. The stickers will be indicative of the kind of services/work that needs to be performed while travelling in the city premises.
Mumbai CP says there will be three different type on stickers which will be issued.
Yellow – Essential services like BMC officials, telephone, media, electricity departments other services that come under essential
Red – doctors, nurses staff, Medical supplies vehicles
Green – Vegetable supply vehicles
- These stickers will be available at local police stations, check naka and toll nakas and has to be put in every essential vehicle front and back side.
- Mumbai CP says, despite lockdown, a lot of vehicles are on the roads causing traffic jams at checknakas and tollnakas. In all this doctors, nurses, medical supplies vehicles too get stuck.
