Mortal remains of havildar Sunil Kumar consigned to flames with full state honour

In Bihar mortal remains of havildar Sunil Kumar were consigned to flames with full state honour on the banks of river ganga at Maner in Patna today. He laid down his life for the country in the standoff with Chinese troops at Galwan Valley in Ladakh.

Army jawans had given the last salute to the martyr before his funeral. Martyr Sunil Kumar was a jawan of Bihar Regiment. He was recruited in this regiment in 2002.Martyr Sunil Kumar was a native of village.

Taranagar in Sikaria panchayat under Bihta block of Patna district. Tiranga yatra was taken out in the village in honour of the martyred jawan.

Mortal remains of the remaining four jawans will be brought to Patna airport this afternoon. Five of the 20 Army personnel martyred in Galwan valley were from Bihar. Havildar Sunil Kumar from Patna,sepoys Chandan Kumar from Bhojpur,Kundan Kumar from Saharsa,Aman Kumar from Samastipur and Jai Kishore Singh from Vaishali were from the 16th battalion of Bihar Regiment Centre.
