Monarch secondary school Handwara organised cycling race event

Srinagar: Monarch secondary school, Handwara on Thursday organised a cycle race event. The race was flagged off by ASP Handwara Irshad Ahmad, director Monarch secondary school Handwara, Farooq Ahmad and chairman Zahoor Ahmad Ahangar. The race witnessed an overwhelming participation of 30 cyclists from Monarch school, Handwara. The race which started from Monarch school, Handwara culminated at Khanpora.

Chairman Monarch school Handwara Zahoor Ahmad Ahangar, principal Faizal Ahmad said the race was organised to raise awareness about the benefits of cycling on physical and mental wellbeing of people.

The position holders of this event were awarded prizes – the first position was secured by Waseem Haasan Bhat of class first, Adnan Reyaz of class 2nd came second and third was Inam ul Haq of class third.
