Mumbai: “The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) administration is being misused.” alleged Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Avinash Abhyankar. He also wanted to know “Is it a campaign to chase the virus out or make money from the virus?” Speaking to newspersons at MNS headquarters Rajgad, the MNS leader alleged corruption behind the facade of Corona.
The Munjani family which was present claimed that they were the victims of this corruption. Meanwhile Munjani Pravina remarked “We did a corona test during the morning. They stated its positive and later they claimed it was negative. My family was greatly troubled after knowing this.”
Avinash Abhyankar questioned “Are you playing with people’s emotions”? He also alleged “BMC is completely corrupted to the core and the Mayor should take a stand.

He further stated “The Munjani Family were first given a report of Corona positive later when they argued with the BMC and said we will conduct a test in a private lab they were declared negative. Suspicion of corruption rises here.”
“BMC staff told them in the afternoon a car will come to pick up the patient, later these same people sent the report on WhatsApp claiming the report was negative” he alleged.
He further said “From next time we will not take such conferences and will answer in MNS style”. “We will also write a letter to the CM and meet the Mayor regarding this,” he added.
When newspersons asked if the MNS too was playing politics he answered “We are not indulging in politics we are asking questions.” “Do not play fear mongering in the name of Covid that’s our demand” he asserted.- By Rishikesh Chavan
