Thane:Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation (MBMC) municipal commissioner Chandrakant Dange is leaving no stone unturned to combat coronavirus in the city. Due to the excessive burden on the health care officials, MBMC has decided to hire additional health care professionals.
The civic administration has embarked on a drive to hire nearly 819 medicos including physicians, anesthetists, medical officers (MBBS and Ayush), attendants, pharmacists and technicians for x-ray, electrocardiogram and laboratory on a contractual basis.
As per the notification issued by the MBMC, aspirants have to submit their applications at the civic headquarters in Bhayander before 5 pm on June 20. As of now, the recruits will be given temporary appointment orders for the next three months.
The cases in Mira Bhayandar are soaring day by day, however, the good news is that the recovery rate is more than the number of Covid-19 cases. Earlier speaking to TheNews21, civic chief Chandrakant Dange said, “People are travelling to Mumbai for work and because of this they have higher chances of getting infected. Most of the Covid-19 cases which have been detected were found to have had a travel history of Mumbai”.
