Maharashtra govt announces evaluation plan for Class 10th students’ post-cancellation of Exam

Maharashtra Government today announced an evaluation plan for Class 10th (SSC) students post-cancellation of Examination conducted by the State Education Board.

Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad announced that, 50 per cent weightage will be given to 9th Standard’s mark, 30 per cent weightage to internal evaluation and 20 percent weightage will be given to home work and practicals.

Those students who are not satisfied with these marks can appear for class improvement exam which will be organised after normalising covid situation in the state.

Ms. Gaikwad also announced that, for admission to 11th Standard, an optional Common Entrance Test will be organised.

CBSE, ICSE and State Board students can appear for this exam.

It will be a multiple choice exam for two hours having 100 marks.

Preference in admission for Standard 11th will be given on the basis of marks in CET exam.

Vacant seats will be filled using marks of 10th Standard.
