Maharashtra government has allowed 10 per cent reservation to Marathas in education and government jobs under the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), reported Free Press Journal.

Earlier the Supreme Court struck down 13 per cent reservation for the Maratha community, due to which the state government had to face criticism.

Meanwhile, BJP MP Sambhaji Chhatrapati had on Friday warned that if the Maharashtra government does not approve his demands concerning the Maratha community by June 6, he would launch an agitation from Raigad and demand that a two-day Assembly session should be called over this matter.
