Bhopal: In a significant development for Madhya Pradesh’s government employees and job seekers, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that the long-pending issue of employee promotions has finally been resolved after nine years. Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the CM said:
“Today, in the cabinet meeting, the matter of promotion of employees and officers of the state, which was pending for 9 years, was resolved. In this, the interests of employees and officers of all categories, including SC-ST, have been taken care of. Through this, after promotion, 2 lakh posts will be vacant in government services and there will be a possibility of fresh recruitment on these.”
The decision, which came during a cabinet meeting chaired by CM Yadav, is expected to boost morale among state government employees who have awaited clarity on promotional prospects for nearly a decade. It also opens a huge window of opportunity for aspiring candidates, as an estimated 2 lakh vacancies are likely to be created in various departments post-promotions.
