J&K CM Omar Abdullah Pays Tribute to Martyrs, Urges Deeper Respect for National Flag

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah delivered a heartfelt message honoring those who sacrificed their lives for the Indian tricolour, emphasizing the profound responsibility it carries.

Speaking on the significance of the national flag, Abdullah said, “Those who gave their lives for the tirangaa did not worry about their future; they sacrificed their today so that the flag could fly high. They believed they alone were enough to protect the dignity of the tirangaa.”

He urged citizens to go beyond ceremonial observances, stating, “Our connection with the national flag should not remain confined to official functions. The flag is our identity, and it is our duty to uphold its honour every day.”
