Today’s elections are particularly significant as they are the first since the abrogation of Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir. The polling is being conducted in 24 constituencies across seven districts of the Union Territory, marking a crucial step in the region’s political landscape.
Security personnel have been deployed extensively to ensure the safety of voters and maintain order at polling stations. Election officials are closely monitoring the process to address any issues and ensure that the election proceeds without disruptions.
The turnout figures are expected to rise as the day progresses, and more detailed reports will be released as the polling continues. The election results will provide valuable insights into the political dynamics of the region post-Article 370.
