In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, one child died while seven other persons were injured, in a grenade attack on the house of a BJP leader in Rajouri district last night. Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri confirmed the death of a child and injuries to seven other persons. The injured have been hospitalised and two of them are stated to be critical.
State BJP General Secretary, Ashok Kaul condemned the terrorist attack on the party’s Mandal president and said that this is a cowardly act which will never be accepted. However, BJP’s national General Secretary Tarun Chugh also condemned the cowardly act of Pakistan-based terrorist attack. An FIR has been registered in the regard at Police Station, Rajouri and investigation has been started. Details are awaited.
