In Jabalpur, the election fervor kicked off in a unique fashion as independent candidate Shashi Salalus and her husband Stanley Louis embarked on their Lok Sabha campaign, riding a decked-up horse cart.
Adding intrigue to their campaign was a bold promise made by Stanley Louis to the public. He pledged a whopping sum of $20,000 (equivalent to Rs 16 lakhs) for every voter if his wife clinched victory in the upcoming election.
During their campaign trail, Stanley Louis confidently asserted that should his wife, Shashi Salalus, emerge triumphant in the election, each eligible voter in Jabalpur would receive a substantial sum of $20,000.
In a theatrical twist, Stanley Louis dubbed himself as the President of the United States of Asia, while introducing his wife as the Vice President of the United States of America. Their unconventional mode of arrival, riding on horseback, to the nomination center located in Indra Market, left many intrigued.
Addressing the media, Stanley Louis elaborated on their election strategy, revealing that Shashi Salalus would be running as an independent candidate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
